1 day | $550 + GST
Lash lifts are one of the most requested lash services because they give a natural curl without extensions. In this private course you learn how to perform lash lifts safely and professionally, with lash tinting included.

Brow Lamination Certification Course

Brow lamination is a high-demand service that gives brows a fuller, brushed-up, shaped look. This intensive one-day course teaches you the full treatment, from consultation to finish, with tinting included.

Eyebrow Threading Course
1 day | $550 + GST
Threading is a precise, gentle way to shape brows and remove fine facial hair without wax or heat, so clients keep asking for it. In this private course you learn to thread cleanly, confidently and hygienically.

Every course at The Beauty Nest Training Academy is taught one-on-one by Rani Dhaliwal, so you know exactly who is guiding you from your first question to your last model. Rani brings over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry. Rani is the owner and lead instructor at The Beauty Nest Training Academy.
The Beauty Nest is a licensed and certified beauty studio, and Rani specializes in eyebrow shaping, eyebrow lamination, eyebrow tinting and lash lifts, the same services you will learn to perform.

What your training day looks like

9:00 am: Welcome, theory and product knowledge, then a step-by-step demonstration.

Late morning: Guided technique practice, then a 30-minute break.

11:30 am: Live model practice begins. Models arrive with 20-minute gaps between appointments so you can prepare calmly.

Afternoon: Continue on models, troubleshoot, review aftercare and discuss how to build your client base.

6:00 pm: Day wraps up.
Models: bring your own or we provide one
You can bring your own model or we can arrange one for you. Please tell us in advance if you need us to provide one.
Model requirements for lash lift and brow lamination: 16 or older (parent consent if under 18), and not pregnant or breastfeeding, because hormonal changes can affect results.
How many you need: 2 models for brow lamination, 2 models for lash lift, 3 models for brow mapping.
Your certificate and next steps
At the end of your course you receive a Beauty Nest certificate of completion. To complete your full certification, practise on two more models each for lash lift and brow lamination at your own space and send us before-and-after photos.

About the training
Where can I take beauty training in Calgary?
The Beauty Nest Training Academy in Calgary offers private one-on-one courses in lash lift, brow lamination and brow mapping with wax and tint. Each course is completed in one intensive day with live model practice.
Do I need experience to take a course?
No. Our courses are designed for both complete beginners and working beauty professionals who want to add services. You are taught from the fundamentals, step by step.
Are the courses private or group classes?
All training is private and one-on-one, so you get your instructor's full attention and feedback throughout the day.
How long is each course?
Each course is one day. Our training day runs from 9:00 am to about 6:00 pm, with a break before model practice begins.
What will I learn in the lash lift course?
You will learn lash anatomy, product knowledge, safety, consultation, lash lift application and removal, lash tinting, aftercare and troubleshooting.
What will I learn in the brow lamination course?
You will learn brow anatomy, product knowledge, consultation, safety, brow lamination technique, tinting, basic tweezing and shaping, aftercare and troubleshooting.
What is a brow mapping course?
Brow mapping teaches you to measure and design the ideal brow shape for each face. Our course covers our own mapping technique along with brow waxing and tint selection.
Does the course include tint training?
Yes. Tint training is included in both the lash lift and brow lamination courses, and the brow mapping course teaches tint selection and application.
Do you teach eyebrow waxing?
Yes. Our Brow Mapping with Wax & Tint course includes brow waxing technique.
Do you offer eyebrow threading classes in Calgary?
Yes. Our Eyebrow Threading Course teaches threading technique, brow shaping and safe, hygienic practice in a private one-on-one setting.
Cost and booking
How much does beauty training cost in Calgary at The Beauty Nest?
Lash lift and brow lamination courses are each $550 plus GST. The brow mapping with wax and tint course is $750 plus GST. The threading course is $550 plus GST.
What is included in the price?
Your price includes one-on-one instruction, hands-on practice on live models, tint training where listed, and your certificate. The premium product kit is optional and priced separately.
How do I reserve my spot?
Contact us with your course and preferred date, then pay the 50% deposit. Your space is secured once the deposit is received.
Is the deposit refundable?
The 50% deposit is non-refundable because we block the full day in our calendar for your training.
What is the premium product kit and do I need it?
The kit is optional. It costs $200 per service, includes the premium products we use ourselves, and is good for up to 20 clients per service. You can also buy product separately with your certificate.
Models
Do I need to bring a model?
You can bring your own model or we can provide one. Let us know ahead of time if you need us to arrange one.
How many models will I work on?
Brow lamination and lash lift each use 2 models. Brow mapping uses 3 models.
Who can be a model?
Models must be 16 or older, with parental consent if under 18. For lash lift and brow lamination, models must not be pregnant or breastfeeding, since hormonal changes can stop the treatment from working properly.
Is there a model fee?
A $20 model fee covers product cost.
Certification and starting your business
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. You receive a certificate at the end of the course.
Is there anything I need to do to become fully certified?
Yes. Practise on two more models each for lash lift and brow lamination at your own space and send us before-and-after photos.
Can I start offering services right after training?
Yes, the courses are designed so you can offer services with confidence once you are certified. Check with your insurance provider and any local business requirements before you start taking clients.
Do you accept students from outside Calgary?
Yes. Students travel to us from Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, Okotoks, High River, Strathmore, Canmore and other nearby communities. Because training is a single day, it is easy to schedule.
