Hair Removal FAQs
Where can I get waxing in Calgary?
You can get waxing at The Beauty Nest, my licensed home-based studio in Seton Ridge, SE Calgary. I offer bikini, Brazilian, face, underarm, leg, arm and back waxing.
Does waxing hurt?
Waxing can be uncomfortable, but how much varies from person to person. It usually gets easier over time with regular appointments, because your hair grows back finer.
How much does a Brazilian wax cost in Calgary?
A Brazilian wax at The Beauty Nest costs $46. Other bikini options are Basic Bikini at $21, Classic French at $28 and Skinny French at $36.
What is the difference between a Classic French and a Skinny French wax?
The Classic French removes more hair along the bikini line and defines a triangle at the top, while the Skinny French removes hair from the pubic area and leaves a small strip. A Classic French is $28 and a Skinny French is $36.
How long should my hair be for waxing?
Your hair should be about a quarter of an inch long, roughly the length of a grain of rice. That lets the wax grip the hair properly.
How often should I get waxed?
Most people book every 3 to 6 weeks, depending on how fast their hair grows. Regular waxing weakens the follicles over time, so regrowth becomes finer and slower.
What should I do after waxing?
Avoid sun exposure, hot baths and tight clothing for a day or two. Exfoliating gently a few days later helps prevent ingrown hairs.
Do you offer face threading and waxing?
Yes. Full face is $35 (brows not included), lip or chin is $10, sideburns are $20 and nose is $10, with a choice of threading or waxing.
